The Handweavers Guild of Nashville is open to anyone interested in weaving, spinning, dying and other fiber arts.

Membership fees are based on a program year of September through May.  New members are welcome to join at any time, and guests are welcome at monthly meetings.

New member dues are $25 for the year, pro-rated after January. If two people at the same address join, the dues are $37.50 for the first year.  Renewing membership is $20 for individuals, and $30 for two members at the same address.

Membership includes preferred registration at Guild workshops, subscription to the Guild newsletter, access to the Guild lending library, and (after 6 months active membership) rental of weaving and spinning equipment.

The Guild's newsletter, Warp and Weft, is sent via the postal service or e-mail to all members each month, September through May, and once in mid-summer. The six-page newsletter features news from the membership, information concerning upcoming programs, meetings, study groups, and workshops. A popular and well-read feature is "Tips and Tricks," gleaned from members and various printed sources. In addition, the newsletter frequently has a "classified" section of  “For Sale” ads for weaving and spinning equipment. "Wanted to Buy" ads also are welcome.  Advertising space is provided to non-members for a small fee.
